Grupo Simples

Grupo Simples is a major player in the Angolan upstream sector that engages in operatorship and services, such as rig supply, maintenance and operation. Founded in 2005 it has grown steadily alongside the Angolan oil and gas industry by developing its E&P capabilities and associated oilfield services. The company is committed to providing quality services and actively seeks to take advantage of recent developments in Angola’s upstream sector.

Offered services: Grupo Simples’ oilfield services cover a wide range of services from rig maintenance to fluid management control and labour. 

Strategic assets: Acting through its subsidiaries, the group holds operatorship of the KON 6 block and shares in KON 5, KON 8 and KON 9 concessions in Angola.

Strategic goals:

  • Develop greenfield assets and achieve first oil by 2025.
  • Enter new African markets and look at possibilities to become field operators in markets such as Mozambique or Ghana.
  • Increase access to international capital by opening the company to public investment and global financial markets.
  • Develop its energy transition strategy by entering the solar power sector and manufacturing batteries.
