ADNOC signs naphtha deals

ADNOC has sealed agreements with Japan’s Idemitsu Kosan and Thailand’s SCG Chemicals for deliveries of about 1.5 million tpy of naphtha over a period of three years, the Abu Dhabi NOC announced Wednesday.

“As part of ADNOC’s 2030 growth strategy, we are prioritising the fast-growing markets of Asia, where the demand for refined and petrochemical products is accelerating,” said Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, the company’s marketing, sales and trading director. “These latest long-term deals, yet again, demonstrate how ADNOC is committed to ensuring reliable and secure access to important refined and petrochemical products, as part of mutually beneficial partnerships that create sustainable value.”

In January, the NOC signed a similar agreement with Malaysia’s Lotte Chemical Titan for the sale of 1 million tpy of naphtha for a period of three years.
