ADNOC to expand UAE’s Al Nouf oilfield

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has awarded an EPC contract to Robt Stone for the expansion of the Al Nouf oilfield, the NOC announced on Monday.

ADNOC plans to spend USD 187 million to expand production on the field from 160,000 bopd to 175,000 bopd by 2024. The works involve adding up to 20 wells to the development.

The Al Nouf oilfield, located 85 kilometres southwest of Abu Dhabi, began production in 2005.

The UAE is <a href=’https://theenergyyear.com/companies-institutions/opec/’>OPEC’s third-largest oil producer and plans to raise production to 5 million bopd by 2030.
