Aker Solutions and Frontica team up for efficiency gains

Oilfield services major Aker Solutions of Norway has signed a five-year agreement with compatriots Frontica for staffing, IT and business support services regarding human resources, finance and procurement. As part of the deal announced on Monday, estimated to be worth as much as USD 1.3 billion, the company will also be providing consultancy services.

Commenting on the agreement, Aker Solutions’ chief financial officer Svein Stoknes said it would provide “a good framework for driving cost optimisation and business improvements in key areas across our global organisation.”

Frontica CEO Niels Didrich also pointed to efficiency gains, saying that Aker Solutions would be able to concentrate on its core business through outsourcing.

In business for 175 years, Aker Solutions specialises in offshore oilfield services work.
