Aker Solutions wins BP offshore contract

Norway
BP has awarded Aker Solutions a $369-million contract to provide maintenance and modification services in the North Sea.

The contract for work on BP fields offshore Norway will last for five years, with a possible four-year extension.

Work will take place at the Hod, Tambar, Ula and Valhall fields in water depths of around 70 metres, as well as at the Skarv deposit in the Norwegian Sea.

“Aker Solutions is a very experienced and capable supplier that has over many years had large and demanding deliveries to BP both in development projects and in the production phase,” said BP Norway operations vice-president Eldar Larsen.

Aker Solutions is a Norwegian oilfield services company that works in around 20 countries.
