The sale of the BW Opportunity to a third party is expected to be completed in Q1 2023.
The vessel is capable of handling gas production of 9.91 mcm (350 mcf) of gas per day and 35,000 bopd. It has a storage capacity of 900,000 barrels.
The company is also pursuing provision of EPCC and operations and maintenance services with the company under a five-year transitional contract.
BW Offshore currently has a fleet of 10 FPSOs and employs around 2,000 employees.
Cost of the transaction was not disclosed.
