Dayang’s $67 million offshore contract

Stated-operated upstream company Petronas Carigali has awarded offshore services provider Dayang a $67 million contract to upgrade facilities in Petrogas’ Sarawak and Sabah projects in offshore Malaysia.

The contract stipulated the company will be in charge of modifying, upgrading, hook-up commissioning and executing major construction work for the brownfield project for two years beginning June 8, 2015. The company will perform these works on a call-out basis.

During its filing to Bursa Malaysia on Thursday, the company stated that the contract will contribute positively to its earnings and net assets.

In May, Dayang made a mandatory general offer to acquire 42.96 million shares of offshore support vessel provider Perdana Petroleum.
