Denmark green lights its first CCS projects
Denmark The first is for the USD 64.4-million Greensand project, which aims to inject up to 1.5 million tonnes of carbon dioxide into depleted oil and gas fields in the North Sea by 2025, with this number ramped up to 8 million tonnes per year by 2030.
Wintershall Dea and INEOS Energy will lead this development.
The USD 22.8-million Bifrost project led by TotalEnergies aims to inject 3 million tonnes per year of carbon dioxide into a depleted gasfield from 2027, with this number ramped up to 5 million tonnes per year by 2030.
