Mozambique’s Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy Max Tonela and Equatoguinean Minister of Mines and Hydrocarbons Gabriel Obiang Lima met in Maputo on Friday to sign an MoU establishing joint co-operation in the areas of E&P, training, certification, and hydrocarbons quality and control. Under the agreement, 10 Mozambican students will be trained in oil and gas operations in Equatorial Guinea.
Minister Tonela said that his country would benefit from Equatorial Guinea’s <a href=’https://staging.theenergyyear.com/companies-institutions/opec/’>OPEC membership and experience in the industry, especially related to natural gas processing.
The signing of the MoU builds on a previous meeting between the two energy ministers in April 2017.
