Equatorial Guinea government dissolved
Equatorial Guinea With the ordinance, Equatorial Guinea’s prime minister and his three deputies no longer hold power.
“Making use of the powers bestowed on me by the fundamental law, I put an end to the functions of the prime minister in charge of administrative co-ordination, of his deputy prime ministers and the rest of the members of the government,” said the decree, which was read on state television.
No reason for the president’s decision was provided.
The dissolved government was formed following the country’s April 2016 elections in which President Obiang won more than 97% of the vote.
