ExxonMobil signs with TechnipFMC in Guyana

TechnipFMC has won a contract from ExxonMobil to supply the subsea production system for the Yellowtail development in Guyana, the Houston-based engineering company announced on Monday.

TechnipFMC is to provide project management, engineering, manufacturing and testing on 51 enhanced vertical deepwater trees, 12 manifolds, tie-in equipment and other associated equipment.

While the exact cost was not disclosed, the contract is described as large, which puts it between USD 500 million and USD 1 billion.

The Yellowtail project is in its development stage and will consist of four FPSOs on the Stabroek block.

The block is estimated to hold recoverable reserves of 10 billion boe.
