ExxonMobil starts production offshore Guyana

ExxonMobil has begun production on the second phase of the Liza development on the Stabroeke Block offshore Guyana, the American super-major announced today.

The company is using its Liza Unity FPSO to reach expected production of 220,000 barrels of oil per year. The adjacent Liza Destiny FPSO has added 120,000 bpd capacity with the play.

The development brings the country’s production capacity to 340,000 bpd only seven years after its first discovery.

ExxonMobil predicts four FPSOs with a capacity of more than 800,000 barrels per day will be in operation on the Stabroek Block by the end of 2025.
