The consortium also includes Brazilian companies Construcap CCPS Engenharia e Comércio and CFPS Engenharia e Projetos. It will provide local independent exploration and production company Parnaíba Gás Natural with a gas gathering system with a capacity of 8.5 mcm (300 mcf) per day and a pipeline for carrying the gas to a production and treatment facility at the nearby Gavião Real field. The contract is valued at $100 million.
The consortium was awarded a contract for the initial engineering and design for the project earlier in the year.
The Gavião Branco field is located in block PN-T-68, in which Parnaíba Gás Natural has a 70-percent stake, while the remaining 30 percent is held by Brazlian company BPMB Parnaiba.
