FMC Technologies wins $180 mln contract from Woodside

Australia
Multinational services provider FMC Technologies has signed a contract with Australia’s Woodside to provide subsea production systems to the Greater Western Flank Phase 2 (GWF-2) project in Western Australia.

FMC Technologies will be responsible for the design, manufacture and supply of the subsea systems, which are expected to be delivered between 2016 and 2018. The company will provide subsea production trees, manifolds, wellheads, controls and flowline connection systems.

GWF-2 is the fourth major gas development of the broader North West Shelf Project. The contract is valued at around $180 million. The six-field North West Shelf Project is expected to produce 45.3 bcm (1.6 tcf) of raw natural gas. GWF-2 is slated to start production in 2019.

“This development assists with the timely and efficient commercialisation of the project’s gas reserves,” Tore Halvorsen, senior vice-president of subsea technologies, said in a press release.
