Large gas reserves at Manati field
Brazil A December 2014 certification of the field’s reserves by US consulting company Gaffney, Cline & Associates put potential field production at 6 mcm (212 mcf) in 2015, though Queiroz Galvão Exploração e Produção stated that production would likely be closer to 5.5 mcm (194 mcf) due to factors including maintenance work. Production is expected to gradually drop off to 3 mcm (106 mcf) by 2020, and 900,000 cubic metres (31.8 mcf) by 2026.
Queiroz Galvão Exploração e Produção holds a 45-percent stake in the Manati gasfield. Other shareholders include Brazil’s national oil company Petrobras with 35 percent, and Brazilian-Canadian company Brasoil and Chilean exploration and production firm Geopark, each with 10 percent.
