Kazakh minister to speak on environment

Magzum Mirzagaliyev, minister of ecology, geology and natural resources of Kazakhstan, has called for sustainable solutions in the oil and gas industry.
Mirzagaliyev said, “We need to be ahead of the curve by being able to anticipate and create sustainable solutions for the future. Measures need to be taken to develop an environmental protection policy in conjunction with the oil and gas industry along with conserving water resources, and protection of our natural resources, forests and wildlife. I look forward to discussing all these vital factors at SPE’s Caspian HSE Symposium.”
He made the comments when speaking about the upcoming symposium on Caspian Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Social Responsibility.
The Society of Petroleum Engineers is holding the event in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, on September 24-25.
