Kazakhstan’s Mangistau to cease training

Kazakhstan

AKTAU, November 14, 2014 – The mayor of Kazakhstan’s Mangistau district, Alik Aidarbayev, said on Friday that money would not be allocated to the training of new personnel in 2015 due to a surplus of oil workers in the local industry.

Aidarbayev claimed the lucrative oil and gas industry was attracting too many individuals and the supply of workers was outstripping demand. More of an effort will be made to the quality of training staff newcomers to the industry receive, the mayor of Mangistau added.
