Keppel wins four contracts

Singapore
On Tuesday, Keppel Offshore & Marine, a wholly owned subsidiary of Singaporean marine services company Keppel Shipyard, announced in a press release that it had been awarded several contracts totalling around SGD125 million ($89.2 million) from various companies.

Under a contract with Armada Madura EPC, a joint venture between Indian conglomerate Shapoorji Pallonji Group and Malaysian offshore oilfield services provider Bumi Armada, Keppel is expected to complete conversion work for a floating production, storage and offloading vessel by the third quarter of 2016.

Keppel Shipyard has secured major repair, upgrade and modification contracts from three companies including US carrier company Totem Ocean Trailer Express, Eni subsidiary Saipem Offshore Norway and Norwegian firm Dolphin Drilling.

For Totem, Keppel will conduct work allowing the large roll-on/roll-off cargo vessel Midnight Sun to operate on a dual-fuel diesel LNG propulsion system, reducing emissions of greenhouse gases. The company will provide upgrades and installation work for Saipem Offshore and it will conduct modifications and a renewal survey for Dolphin’s drillship, Bedford Dolphin.
