KOTC is in the third phase of revamping its tanker fleet, currently comprising 24 vessels. This number is expected to reach 30 by the end of 2014. Phase three calls for the construction of nine oil tankers, four of which will be super tankers. The other vessels are four medium-range petroleum tankers and one long-range petroleum products and crude oil tanker.
In 2013, the company transported 22.67 million tonnes of crude oil, petroleum products and liquefied gas.
