Kuwait issues tender to sell light crude: report

Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) has issued a tender for its first sale of super light crude oil, international media reported on Wednesday.

Industry sources told Zawya that KPC had issued the tender, which is for 500,000 barrels of crude to load on July 26 and 27.

The tender closed at 12:00 GMT on Wednesday. KPC has yet to comment publicly on the tender.

Sources said the crude is expected to have an API gravity of around 48 degrees. While Wednesday’s report names this as the first sale of pure Kuwait Super Light Crude, one source said same crude had been blended with Kuwait Export Blend and been exported to Japan earlier in the month.
