Shell awards McDermott EPCI works for Trinidad gasfield

Shell has awarded McDermott the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract for its Manatee gasfield, located offshore Trinidad and Tobago.

The project’s scope is for the design, procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation and commissioning of a wellhead platform, offshore and onshore gas pipelines, the US company said in a press release on Tuesday.

The Manatee conventional gasfield is being developed for both domestic gas supply and exports.

McDermott previously won the FEED contract for the project, which is awaiting an FID by Shell.

The value of the EPCI contract was not disclosed.
