Offshore services contracts awarded in Brazil

Oilfield services giant Schlumberger has been awarded a USD 200-million contract by Equinor to operate a drilling rig at the offshore Peregrino field in Brazil, international media reported Thursday.

“Schlumberger will provide the full scope of well construction services, drilling management services and advanced digital technology solutions,” a company document cited by Reuters said.

First production from phase two of Peregrino’s development is expected by the end of 2020, bringing the field’s overall output to 60,000 bopd.

Earlier this week, offshore surveying company Ocean Infinity said in a statement that its partner Cepemais had been granted a three-year contract to carry out services for Petrobras. The scope of the contract includes mapping over 5,000 square kilometres in the Campos, Espírito Santo and Santos basins, as well as the inspection of 12,000 kilometres of pipelines.
