Pertamina vice-president corporate communications Wianda Pusponegoro also noted that the company’s gas production averaged 48.1 mcm (1.7 bcf) during the mentioned period. “With this increase, Pertamina’s oil and gas production rose on a consolidated basis [over] that in last year,” Wianda said, pointing to increases in oil output in Algeria, Iraq and Malaysia.
Pertamina’s output in these markets reached 20,000 bopd, 44,000 bopd and 21,000 bopd, respectively. The company’s gas production in Algeria over the first half of the year averaged 3.14 mcm (111 mcf) while output in Malaysia came out at 2.52 mcm (89 mcf).
