The USD 700-million EPC contract involves constructing three gas compressor trains, associated utilities and power systems at the Habshan Complex located west of Abu Dhabi.
Each compressor will have a capacity of more than 400 million mcf per day.
The deal signed with ADNOC’s subsidiary ADNOC Gas in June 2023 aims to increase gas output from the complex.
Petrofac and its partners has recently signed a slew of contracts with ADNOC, including a USD 3.6-billion contract to expand gas processing infrastructure to the Ruwais Industrial Complex and a USD 1.34-billion contract signed in July 2023 for expansion of ADNOC Gas’ pipeline network.
The UAE’s current gas developments are expected to raise national capacity by more than 3 bcf per day of gas.
