Qatar’s QPSPP signs 3-year naphtha deal with Haldia

Qatar Petroleum for the Sale of Petroleum Products (QPSPP) has inked a three-year contract with India’s Haldia Petrochemicals for the supply of 600,000 tonnes per year of naphtha.

The deal, reported by Platt’s on Thursday, will see the supply of light naphtha with a minimum 75% paraffin content commence in October. It marks the first term contract between the companies.

Formerly known as Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Company, QPSPP is an independent state-owned company responsible for the marketing and sale of Qatar’s crude and petroleum products at the international level.

Haldia Petrochemicals operates a complex in West Bengal that produces ethylene, propylene, butadiene, high-density polyethylene, linear low-density polyethylene and polypropylene.
