Saipem and TechnipFMC partner for SURF projects

Italy
Saipem and TechnipFMC have entered into a global commercial agreement to identify subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF) projects that could be jointly executed together, both subsea and offshore contracting companies announced today.

The two technology providers working together would augment their abilities to perform EPCI contracts by combining TechnipFMC’s Subsea 2.0 production systems with Saipem’s iEPCI, or integrated engineering, procurement, construction and installation, framework.

“The SURF commercial agreement with TechnipFMC represents an important milestone to offer a more competitive and reliable value proposition to our clients,” said Stefano Porcari, COO of the offshore engineering and construction division at Saipem.

“The agreement will provide a pool of complementary enabling vessels and facilities and a consolidated reel laying and J-laying technology base.”
