Saipem secures $350-million deal from Qatargas
Qatar The new work scope, awarded by North Field operator Qatargas, will see the company undertake the diversion from a trunkline and preliminary works associated with a future additional compression project.
The original contract – awarded in February – covers offshore gas production and transportation facilities including platforms, supporting and connecting structures, subsea cables and anticorrosion internally cladded pipelines, as well as the decommissioning of a pipeline and various other modifications.
Pipe-lay operations will be undertaken using the Saipem-operated DE HE vessel.
