Sapura reveals contract wins worth $284 million

Sapura Energy has signed seven contracts worth USD 284 million with PTTEP Sarawak Oil, Enquest Petroleum Production Malaysia, Petronas Carigali, Sarawak Shell and Sabah Shell Petroleum Company, the company reported on Wednesday.

The works under the Pan Malaysia Transportation and Installation of Offshore Facilities 2021 programme involve its engineering and construction, operations and maintenance and drilling verticals.

The engineering and construction work for PTTEP involves engineering, transportation, surveying and topside installation on the Pemanis wellhead platform. The eight-month contract was effective February 2, 2021.

Enquest’s contract for engineering and construction involves the replacement of a 25-centimetre subsea pipeline and risers over five months at the Seligi field. Works will be finished by Q4 2021.

Sapura’s operations and maintenance subsidiary Sapura Fabrication signed contracts with Enquest, Sarawak Shell and Sabah Shell Petroleum Company.

Works for Sarawak Shell and Sabah Shell consist of topside maintenance in offshore Sabah and Sarawak, Malaysia, and will last until April 2023.

Enquest awarded one-year works for maintenance, construction and modification on its PM8 and Seligi fields, effective March 14, 2021.

For drilling, the company signed a two-year contract with Petronas Carigali for its tender assist drilling units. Additionally, the company awarded a contract for the Sapura Esperanza, a semi-submersible assisted drilling rig, for six offshore wells beginning in Q3 2021.

“Sapura Energy’s total bids and prospects is currently valued at MYR 147 billion [USD 34.8 million], with MYR 51 billion [USD 12 million] worth of tenders already submitted or in progress. These include six active bids in the renewables sector across Asia Pacific,” the company said in its statement.
