Saudi Aramco awards gas drilling works

Schlumberger has signed a contract with Emeriti NOC Saudi Aramco for integrated drilling and well construction services on a gas drilling project, the American technology and oilfield services company announced today.

The works include provision of drilling rigs, technologies and services, including drill bits, measurement while drilling and logging while drilling, drilling fluids, cementing and well completion.

While the cost of the contract was not disclosed, Schlumberger described the contract as “major.”

The location of the works was also not disclosed.
