Sonangol in deal to build Angola products terminal

Angolan NOC Sonangol has signed an agreement with Odebrecht Engineering and Construction and DAR Angola for EPCC works on a petroleum products terminal in Barra do Dande, in the northern Bengo province.

The terminal will have a capacity of 580,000 cubic metres. Local civil engineering player Soapro will undertake the project inspection and environmental impact studies.

The terminal agreement, reported by international media on Monday, is poised to bolster storage capacity for Sonangol’s strategic reserves, as well as serving as a base for products distribution within the Southern Africa region.
