Statoil seals the deal for subsea works

Norway
Statoil has signed two agreements with oil services companies Aker Solutions and OneSubsea Processing, the Norwegian multinational announced in a Friday statement.

Under the agreements Aker and OneSubsea will provide engineering, procurement and construction services for subsea equipment.

“In light of the current challenges the industry is facing, the suppliers have demonstrated commitment and drive to break the cost curve and enhance competitiveness,” Statoil vice-president for projects Torgeir Rod said in the statement.

Aker and OneSubsea recently completed subsea compression facilities for the Aasgard and Gullfaks South projects.
