First production will draw from three wells, with another three wells “under consideration” for phase two of the field development project, according to Total. The Incahuasi processing plant and 150 km of accompanying export pipeline infrastructure enable the company to produce at a rate of 6.5 mcm (230 mcf) of natural gas and close to 6,000 barrels of condensate per day.
“Incahuasi’s production will contribute to Bolivia’s gas exports to Argentina and Brazil as well as domestic consumption,” Arnaud Breuillac, president of Total Exploration & Production, said. The field stands out for its depth, situated 5,636 m below the surface.
