The field is expected to come on line in 2025.
The FID for the development was made in November 2021.
The project is located near TotalEnergies’ planned 190,000-bopd Tilenga development.
Oil from the two projects in the Lake Albert region will be carried to the port of Tanga in Tanzania via the planned East African Crude Oil Pipeline.
At peak capacity, Uganda expects to produce 230,000 bopd from its current projects.
