0.00

The Energy Year is pleased to publish its special digital report dedicated to Qatar under the theme of Crisis and Resilience in the Covid-19 Era. This digital edition details the strategies selected industry stakeholders in Qatar have put in place to adapt to a new normal and navigate the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, embrace new efficiencies, keep their facilities and businesses operating, and offer maximum protection to their employees and collaborators.

The report demonstrates Qatar’s resilience in these critical times and highlights some of the domestic and international enterprises that focus on helping fuel the nation’s growth. Qatar Petroleum’s mega-order for more than 100 LNG carriers from South Korean shipyards by 2027 to move the substantial volumes generated by the North Field expansion demonstrates the gas giant’s forward vision and intention to keep pushing ahead with LNG developments. Additionally, QP’s recent agreement with Angolan NOC Sonangol and Total on Block 48 offshore Angola is a testament to how the company’s aggressive international expansion can bear fruit even amid the challenging industry landscape.

The Energy Year wishes to express its strong support for all the critical tasks carried out by the Ministry of Energy and Industry, QP and all other government institutions to manage a crisis of unprecedented nature and impact. Through this special edition, we wish to salute the initiatives introduced by Qatar’s leaders to navigate the new economic landscape and help the country emerge from this period into a sustainable future.

We give our heartfelt thanks to each and every contributor to this special report for their continuous support in building the country’s resilience and its sustainable energy future.
