Arrow ramps up production in Colombia with two new wells

CALGARY, March 3, 2026 – Arrow Exploration has brought two new appraisal wells onstream in Colombia’s Llanos Basin, the company announced on Monday.

The Mateguafa 9HZ (M-9HZ) well reached a total measured depth of 4,580 metres on February 7, 2026, encountering hydrocarbon-bearing intervals in the Gacheta, Carbonera C7 and Carbonera C9 formations. Arrow put the well in production on February 10 in the C9 formation at a restricted rate of 850 bopd. M-9HZ is the longest horizontal well drilled by Arrow in Colombia

Mateguafa 10 reached a measured depth of 3,331 metres on February 18, 2026, and also encountered hydrocarbons at several intervals. It has been put on production in the C7 formation at a restricted rate of 1,100 bopd. Initial results indicate that both wells can produce at higher rates.

“The success of the M-9HZ and M-10 wells reinforces the materiality of the Mateguafa field to Arrow.

Tapir block and the experience of the professional team at Arrow to quickly unlock that potential,” said Arrow CEO Marshall Abbot.

The new wells join Mateguafa HZ7, Mateguafa 6 and Mateguafa, which are already in production at an aggregate rate of approximately 2,336 bopd. Arrow has discontinued production from Mateguafa 8, which it will convert to a water disposal well to reduce operating costs on the Mateguafa pad.

Arrow intends to drill an additional vertical well targeting C7 and C9 at the Mateguafa location, then proceed to the newly completed Icaco pad to drill an exploration well, scheduled for April 2026.
