Tullow advances Ghana campaign with new wells
ACCRA, April 28, 2026 – Tullow Oil will bring four more wells on stream in the Jubilee field offshore Ghana in 2026 as part of its ongoing drilling campaign, the company announced on Tuesday.
In the release of its full-year 2025 results, Tullow said the wells will include three producers and one water injector. They will follow the J74-P and J75-P wells, which came on stream in January and March of 2026, respectively, and the J72-P well, which is currently producing around 8,000 bopd after coming on stream in July 2025.
“2026 has started strongly, with momentum building across the business. We are particularly encouraged by the positive early results from our Ghana drilling campaign, which highlight the quality and potential of our world-class assets,” said Ian Perks, CEO of Tullow Oil.
In February 2026, Tullow agreed to acquire the FPSO located in the TEN field adjacent to Jubilee for a gross consideration of USD 205 million, a move expected to improve field economics by eliminating lease costs and supporting operating cost savings.
Also in February, the company extended the Jubilee and TEN petroleum agreements to 2040.
Tullow Oil is an independent energy company with operations in Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana and the UK. In Ghana it operates the Jubilee and TEN fields with operating interests of 38.98% and 54.84%, respectively. Its partners in both fields are Kosmos Energy, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation and PetroSa.
