Petralon Energy is a Nigerian exploration and production company set up in 2014 mandated to acquire, develop, operate and finance hydrocarbon assets in Africa. The company’s main strength is combining international connections, finance capabilities, technical expertise and regional skillsets to fast track assets to production. The entity’s head office is located in Lagos, with an operational base in Port Harcourt. The company has two subsidiaries.

Nigeria assets: Petralon indirectly holds a 6.06% stake in Prime Oil & Gas Coöperatief, has an 8% and 16% interest in OML 127 and OML 130 respectively. Petralon also holds 100% interest in OML 54 through its subsidiary Petralon 54.

Angolan interests: Petralon is targeting Angola’s onshore acreages. The company participated in the oil and gas bidding round for nine onshore blocks launched by the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency in 2021.
