Grupo Videre

Grupo Videre is a business development company that arranges and develops partnerships for greenfield projects in the power, oil and gas, mining and real estate sectors. It is based in Mozambique and is 100% held by local private partners.

The company provides support to international partners and investors, providing local knowledge and sector expertise to help steer technological and financial capabilities towards developing business ventures and capital projects.

Videre engages in the oil and gas sector primarily by providing support and management services to EPC contractors. To this end, the company has access to logistics infrastructure in Pemba, in close proximity to the port.

Power sector ventures include the Kuvaninga Energia reciprocating engine power plant in southern Mozambique. This 40-MW installation operates using domestic natural gas and 100% of output is supplied to state utility Electricidade de Moçambique under a long-term power purchase agreement.

Grupo Videre’s real estate activities include the development of industrial warehousing and storage facilities at Pemba Yard, a 1.8-hectare plot near Pemba International Airport, and the multi-purpose industrial and logistics site at Nacala a Velha Yard, on the northern coast of Nampula province. The company is also involved in commercial and residential developments around Maputo.

In the services segment, Grupo Videre has strategic partnerships in place with NAS Mozambique, a licensed ground services provider at Maputo International Airport, and TFM Services Mozambique, which provides facility management and catering services. It also participates in Soluções Integradas e Serviços Moçambique, which is a local-content-focused venture that provides staffing, housing and security services, primarily to the oil and gas sector.
