The two companies will look at establishing a bunkering business in the UAE that could be expanded to other regions including Southeast Asia, ADNOC Logistics & Services said on Wednesday.
The move would capitalise on Abu Dhabi’s growing status as an LNG producer – through ADNOC LNG – and an anticipated trend of using more LNG as ship fuel to meet IMO standards, ADNOC Logistics & Services said.
ADNOC Logistics & Services and ADNOC LNG are sister companies, both subsidiaries of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, or ADNOC.
