Seatrium wins MODEC contract for Guyana-bound FPSO

Singapore’s Seatrium has secured a topside integration project for the FPSO Errea Wittu from Offshore Frontier Solutions, a MODEC Group company, Seatrium announced on Monday.

Scope of work covers the installation and integration of topside modules and includes completion and commissioning support for MODEC. The vessel will be deployed on ExxonMobil’s Uaru field on the Stabroek block, approximately 200 kilometres offshore Guyana.

FPSO Errea Wittu is expected to have a production capacity of 250,000 bopd, water injection capacity of 350,000 barrels of water per day, gas production capacity of 15.3 mcm (540 mcf) per day and a storage capacity of two million barrels of oil.

The value of the contract was not disclosed.

ExxonMobil Guyana had signed an EPCI contract with MODEC in May 2023 for FPSO Errea Wittu, which means “abundance.” The vessel is currently under construction and is expected to be delivered in 2026.
