ADNOC berths key vessel at Philippines LNG project

ABU DHABI, April 28, 2023 – ADNOC’s shipping and maritime logistics arm has berthed a vessel that will be commissioned as an FSU at the Philippines’ first LNG import terminal, the Emirati energy giant announced on Thursday.

Following its arrival, the Ish LNG carrier will be converted into an FSU over a five-month process.

The 11-year charter agreement for supply, operations and maintenance of the FSU was signed in 2022 with ADNOC Logistics & Services and includes the possibility of a four-year extension.

The Philippines LNG (PHLNG) project located in Batangas Bay is overseen by Singapore-headquartered Atlantic, Gulf & Pacific Company.

“With the Ish docking at PHLNG for the next decade or longer, AG&P is proudly set to open the first LNG terminal in the Philippines, one with both floating and, shortly, almost equal onshore tank storage, providing nearly 100% availability,” said Joseph Sigelman, chairman and CEO of Atlantic, Gulf & Pacific Company.

ADNOC Logistics & Services has a fleet of almost 245 owned vessels and around 600 operated and chartered vessels per year.
