Aker wins Norwegian FEED contract

OSLO, October 21, 2021 – Aker Solutions has received a letter of intent for a FEED contract from Equinor for an FPSO on the Wisting field development in the Norwegian Barents Sea, the Oslo-based engineering company announced today.
The contract includes an option for EPCI work on the FPSO, which would raise the worth of the contract to between USD 958 million and USD 1.44 billion.
The Wisting FPSO will weigh 20,000 tonnes and consist of process and utility modules.
Completion is planned for Q3 2022.
The offshore Wisting field is 310 kilometres from Norway’s mainland and is operated by Equinor with a 35% share with partners OMV (Norge) having a 25% share, Petoro a 20% share, Petroleum Norge a 10% share and Lundin Energy Norway the remaining 10% share.
