Baker Hughes signs for Zimbabwe drill campaign

HARARE, February 11, 2022 – Invictus Energy has signed a contract with Baker Hughes for a drilling campaign on the Cabora Bassa project in Zimbabwe, the Australian IOC announced today.
The integrated well services contract includes cementing, mudlogging, tubular running, directional drilling and logging, installation of wellhead equipment and project management works.
Drilling will be performed by the Exalo Rig 202.
The campaign is expected to begin in H2 2022.
The prospect on the 1,010-square-kilometre SG 4571 block is currently estimated to hold 232 bcm (8.2 tcf) of gas and 1.6 billion boe and sits on the Cabora Bassa Basin in northern Zimbabwe.
Cost of the contract was not disclosed.
