BHP signs farm-out deals in Barbados

BRIDGETOWN, April 21, 2022 – BHP has signed a farm-out agreement with Shell on two offshore licences in Barbados, the Australian minerals company announced in its operational review today.

Shell will acquire 40% shares in the Bimshire and Carlisle Bay exploration blocks.

Completion of the deal is expected in Q2 2022 and is subject to regulatory approvals.

Cost of the transaction was not disclosed.
