BP finalises Thunder Horse second phase in Gulf of Mexico
USA The offshore platform now has the capacity to produce 250,000 bopd and 5.66 mcm (200 mcf) of gas per day through a dual-well tieback on the Thunder Horse oilfield. The company plans on introducing six more wells to the asset.
BP owns a 75% stake in the project, with ExxonMobil owning the remainder.
It is the largest platform BP has in the Gulf of Mexico.
