Bureau Veritas buys US renewables consultancy
PARIS, September 5, 2024 – Bureau Veritas has acquired ArcVera Renewables, a specialised financial and technical consultancy for wind, solar and battery storage projects, the French certification body announced on Wednesday.
ArcVera Renewables provides site and resource assessments and consultancy during the development and operations stages of utility-scale renewables projects. The company has supported solar projects in North and South America for a total capacity of 9 GW and evaluated wind projects for 93 GW.
Through the acquisition, Bureau Veritas intends to secure growth and reinforce its capabilities to deliver wind and solar farm projects in the fast-growing renewables sector in North America. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“ArcVera Renewables has built a reputation for excellence in due diligence and operational verification on renewable projects. Their expertise will be a valuable addition to Bureau Veritas’s portfolio of capabilities for energy transition services,” said Hinda Gharbi, CEO of Bureau Veritas.
Headquartered in Golden, Colorado, ArcVera Renewables has subsidiary offices in India, Brazil and South Africa and generated revenues of EUR 6.5 million in 2023.
