Cabship launches youth training programme
LUANDA, June 10, 2026 – Cabship, in partnership with Angola’s Ministry of Mineral Resources, Petroleum and Gas (MIREMPET), has launched a vocational training programme for 16 Angolan youths, the company announced on Monday.
The initiative is co-ordinated by the National Directorate for Training and Local Content and falls under an agreement signed between Angola’s National Petroleum Institute and Cabship. It aims to provide participants with technical skills in industrial electrical systems, welding and renewable energy, which the parties consider strategic for Angola’s economic development.
Commencing on August 30, 2026, the programme will run for six months and will offer internationally certified technical and vocational training, as well as internship placement opportunities for professional development.
Participants will be selected through the Provincial Education Directorates, which have pre-selected 20 candidates from each of the provinces of Cabinda, Zaire, Bengo and Luanda. Four youths from each of the four participating provinces will be chosen.
The initiative is part of MIREMPET’s efforts to encourage companies to invest in the professional development of Angolan youth and facilitate their integration into the labour market.
