
CGX Energy hits discovery offshore Guyana
GEORGETOWN, February 2, 2022 – CGX Energy and its majority stakeholder Frontera Energy Corporation have made a significant discovery at the Kawa-1 well on the Corentyne block in Guyana, the Canadian E&P company announced on Monday.
Drilling at the well hit 54 metres of hydrocarbon-bearing reservoirs based on initial evaluation of logging data.
Neither size of the find or cost of drilling operations was disclosed.
A second well on the block, Wei-1, is expected to be drilled in Q2 2022.
