CHC finalises acquisition of oil and gas aviation assets

USA
CHC Helicopter Group has acquired Babcock International’s offshore aviation business, the US helicopter services company announced on Wednesday.

The USD 13.7-million deal will see CHC Helicopter Group take on the servicing of 30 aircraft in the UK, Denmark and Australia.

Operations in these markets will be run independently until approvals are met.

In FY 2020-2021, Babcock International had revenue of USD 182 million.

“This acquisition is a great success, opening new and broader opportunities for CHC both in existing markets like Australia and the North Sea, and in new areas. It further cements CHC’s position as one of the world’s leading providers of helicopter transportation to oil and gas, search and rescue and renewables customers,” said David Balevic, president and CEO of CHC Helicopter Group.
