Cheniere in first Corpus Christi shipment

USA
Cheniere Energy has shipped the first LNG cargo from the USA’s Corpus Christi terminal, the company announced on Tuesday.

The destination of the Maria Energy LNG tanker, sailing under a Liberian flag, is unclear, the Houston Chronicle reported separately.

“Exporting the first commissioning cargo of LNG from Texas demonstrates Cheniere’s ability to deliver projects safely and ahead of schedule, including the first greenfield LNG export facility in the lower 48 states,” Jack Fusco, CEO and president of Cheniere, said in a statement. “This milestone further reinforces Cheniere’s position as the leader in U.S. LNG, with a world-scale liquefaction platform that provides significant competitive advantages as we continue to execute on our growth strategy.”
